Blankie Love

Blankies are of utmost importance to some people, one being my little girl, Laurel.

They're great for playing Peek-a-Boo!

They can tag along to a baseball game and help clean up a chocolate chip cookie mess, leaving bits and pieces intertwined in the blankie's fibers - the makings of snack-time for later.

They are great at turning you into a ghost.

BOO!

Best of all, Blankies cuddle you, making you feel warm and safe.

My youngest, now 14, still has her blankie. She doesn't carry it around the house any more, but it's still in her bed. She drapes it over her pillow when she's feeling sick, she does take it when she visits grandparents overnight.

Is she a confident, outgoing, mentally sound young woman? Yes, indeed. As is Laurel - BOO!! :-)

I love how you've made a story out of her blankie. In a few years she's gonna look back at these pix and think back on just how much she loved that blankie!

Hope your weekend rocked!

Cute pictures! My daughter has "white blankie." I think she would sometimes keep it over me! :) We left it at Grammy's once and had to have it expressed to us!

My oldest and my youngest loved their blankies! The stinkier the better. Your little one sure does seem to love hers. What a cutie!

I like this post a lot. It's very inspiring.. :) I have a printed blanket that my grandmother got for me... it got worn out and my mom had to fix it up.. but the original printed silk fabric is still there. :)

So adorable! I must admit I still like a blankie myself.

Thanks again for the Schmooze award, and right back 'atcha! Stop by my place for one of your own. :)

Great pictures!! I had a blankie when I was little. I still have it--it became so tattered and frayed that my Mom had it framed when I was 11 to keep it from falling apart.

Laurel is a beautiful girl!!

My blankie tried to eat me. True story.

I still have my blankie from when I was a kid! It's folded up all nice and tidy in the top shelf of the linen closet. I briefly considered giving it to Lance, but then decided that with the plethora of blankets he received as gifts, he would choose his own special blanket. :)

How sweet! Alyssa loves blankets also. She will dive headfirst into a pile on the floor and just laugh and laugh and laugh! She curls up like Laurel is in that pic with her blanket too!
