Ian demonstrates his efficiency at dropping a bulb into a hole.
Laurel peeks into the can at ALL the onions they need to plant.
Ian explains to Laurel the delicacy needed for placing soil on top of each onion bulb. Of course, Laurel's impressed.
Papa relaxes while the kiddos slave away in the hot sun.
Watering, the final step, provides an opportunity to cool down and drown the newly planted bulbs.
75 done, only 225 more to go. So, Papa Dave, when should we hire them out again?

HaHa!! So cute...what great little helpers they are :)
How sweet! I bet they had such a wonderful time, and the hats look so cute!
What a nice activity for a couple of little ones! I once worked in an urban daycare where the kids honestly didn't know that onions (and carrots and potatoes, etc) grew IN THE GROUND! Your kids, and mine, are lucky to be part of the growing.
I bet they had a really fun time! What is better than digging in the dirt and then getting to play with water?!!!
Wow, what good little workers! I love their sun hats.
Excellent workers! I like their little hats. My sister just got one like them for Q, since his new baseball cap doesn't cover enough of him (neck, ears) when it's really sunny.
Seriously. How do you keep those hats on those boys? So cute!
Awesome! That is so cool they are learning how to do that! THink of the memories they will have as a result of helping papa! So cute...love the HATES!!
Good to see that you understand the perks of motherhood. Slave labor. :)
