Ian's room is getting closer to completion. The walls have been spackled and painted. A ceiling fan has been installed. Of course, we didn't think about the bunkbed taking up space vertically. Anybody that peeks out from the top bunk may be decapitated. So now we have to choose, replace the ceiling fan with one that has smaller blades, or just put in a light.
Another choice we have to make involves a window treatment. The room has a great window. Paul is going to install blinds just below the arch. We have an arch honeycomb thingy that can be placed above the blinds. I think we need material around the window. I'm leaning towards a denim material to match the lampshade. The problem is, do we get something that goes from the top of the arch to the bottom of the window, or have something that starts just below the arch. If anyone has ideas, please share them.
By the way, Ian already loves his room. Last night he slept in his big boy bed for the first time. He was so excited, he put every stuffed animal he could find into the bed. There was no room for Ian! He was wonderful enough to eliminate all but Elmo, a bear, and a firetruck pillow. He slept through the night and never fell out. We are very proud of him!
